In order to improve operational efficiency and fortify the stability of medical service delivery in Japan’s healthcare sector, Fujitsu has revealed the creation of a safe and incredibly effective AI agent platform. At the core of this new platform is an orchestrator AI agent, a centralized system that enables the collaboration and coordination of multiple healthcare-focused agents developed by Fujitsu and its partners. The initiative is expected to accelerate the adoption of world-class medical operational practices, drive business transformation across the healthcare industry, and contribute to long-term sustainability. NVIDIA, a world leader in accelerated computing and fundamental AI agent technologies, has provided support for the project.
Beginning in 2025, Fujitsu plans to advance the commercialization of this platform in cooperation with leading medical institutions and international partners. These collaborations will focus on verifying the effectiveness of the orchestrator AI agent while also developing additional industry-specific agents to address the unique needs of healthcare providers.

The new AI agent platform integrates a wide variety of task-specific agents to support medical workflows, building on Fujitsu’s extensive experience in healthcare operations and its many connections with medical institutions. The platform allows seamless integration of a wide variety of agents, including those dedicated to data structuring and interoperability monitoring, while also incorporating specialized agents developed by partner organizations. By ensuring smooth collaboration among different agents, the orchestrator AI agent is able to centrally control, automate, and optimize workflows within and across healthcare institutions, combining diverse applications to streamline complex operations.
By uniting Fujitsu’s deep operational knowledge of Japanese healthcare information systems with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge AI technologies, including NVIDIA NIM microservices and NVIDIA Blueprints, the platform is positioned to enable the adoption of world-leading operational practices in healthcare.
