Synchrony and Audibel Partner to Expand Access to Hearing Care Financing

Synchrony, a leading provider of consumer financial services, has announced a new partnership with Audibel to make financing more accessible for patients seeking hearing care. Through this collaboration, Synchrony’s CareCredit credit card and installment loan solutions will be available both online and at Audibel’s retail locations, becoming the preferred financing option for patients across the United States. This partnership allows individuals to spread out the cost of their audiology needs, including hearing exams, devices, and accessories, making essential care more attainable.

The demand for hearing health support continues to rise, yet many people still delay care. According to a recent Synchrony study, nearly one in five respondents reported potential symptoms of hearing loss, but fewer than 10 percent had seen an audiologist in the past year. While 70 percent of consumers identified hearing as a priority, most admitted they would only seek care if they noticed clear symptoms or if an assessment were offered at no cost. This gap highlights the importance of reducing barriers and creating accessible options for individuals to take proactive steps toward hearing care.

Michael Tease, Chief Retail Officer of Audibel, emphasized the impact of this partnership, noting that hearing plays a vital role in connection and quality of life. He explained that addressing hearing health can significantly influence both physical and mental well-being, and CareCredit can give patients greater access to the personalized solutions Audibel provides. With over 1,000 locations nationwide, Audibel combines advanced technologies with professional expertise to deliver tailored care, whether through in-person or virtual appointments.

Amar Malik, Vice President and General Manager of Vision and Hearing at Synchrony, echoed this sentiment, highlighting how patients often require additional financial resources to confidently pursue hearing care. By offering solutions such as CareCredit and installment loans with terms ranging from 12 to 60 months, Synchrony provides flexibility and clarity, ensuring that patients can choose the option best suited to their financial circumstances.

Currently, CareCredit is accepted at more than 11,000 audiology and hearing care practices across the country, including Audibel’s locations, underscoring its widespread availability. With this partnership, Synchrony strengthens its mission to empower patients with the tools and financial confidence needed to prioritize their hearing health and improve their overall quality of life.
