OMRON Healthcare, in partnership with Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and supported by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), completed a three-month study showing the effectiveness of remotely monitored vital signs in enabling early intervention for heart failure. Using OMRON’s smart health devices and mobile app, patients recorded daily data such as blood pressure, weight, and ECG readings, which were shared in real time with medical professionals. When early warning signs were detected, patients were promptly contacted and referred for further clinical assessment.
