In order to further streamline scheduling and reduce operational costs for healthcare facilities, ShiftMed and UKG have announced a technology partnership

ShiftMed, the first on-demand workforce platform that offers scalable, affordable, and sustainable labour across the full spectrum of care settings—from health system acute and outpatient settings to post-acute and in-home providers—unveiled a new technology partnership with UKG, a top supplier of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions for all people. With more than 315 technology and service partners, UKG offers one of the most expansive and collaborative partner ecosystems in the HCM sector, with a focus on improving business outcomes by enhancing employee experiences for all.

Through this partnership, businesses that use ShiftMed and UKG Dimensions may easily access ShiftMed’s 350,000+ contingent workers within UKG and manage all personnel scheduling from a one platform. When a healthcare professional from ShiftMed claims an open shift at a facility, UKG automatically adds that credentialed person as an employee and assigns them to the schedule. The administrator in UKG Dimensions is not necessary to manually input staff data or alter a schedule.

“This is a collaboration we know will resonate with our healthcare facilities”, “In addition to making it easier than ever for facilities to gain access to highly qualified, on-demand labor to meet their staffing needs, we’re now simplifying how facilities apply and manage that labor. For schedulers or shift supervisors that leverage UKG, the time savings on top of the effortless integration of employee data on one platform will drastically increase operational efficiency and drive down operational costs. It’s a win-win.”

The FleX platform is used for developing UKG applications. A cutting-edge technology platform called FleX by UKG was created specifically to promote exceptional workplaces. FleX Flow, a highly adaptable API framework, enables organisations to integrate existing IT with cutting-edge or upcoming apps to enhance their workplace and anchors UKG solutions in the flow of work where people need and desire them most.

A ShiftMed employee’s clock-in and clock-out times are immediately shared and updated within their respective UKG timesheet thanks to the synchronization of timeclock data enabled by the UKG connection.

“At UKG, we strive to create lifelong partnerships with our customers, helping them create modern people experiences to drive better business outcomes and anticipate employee needs beyond just work”, “By cultivating a highly engaged ecosystem of technology partners, including ShiftMed, we’re able to help create a more seamless and empowering technology experience.”

Mike May, vice president of technology partnerships, UKG

“With most of our health system partners using UKG for their workforce management and scheduling infrastructure, this integration naturally supports our mission to build lasting partnerships helping providers reduce labor costs, maximize internal efficiencies, and ultimately not have to be dependent on travel nursing models.”
