We face a stark situation: our healthcare staff are overstretched and under supported. Our populations suffer worse than ever from unequal access to care. The host of new direct to consumer disruptors entering the market threaten the future prosperity of incumbent providers and health plans. Whilst the pandemic rightly made retaining a continuum of care the most important priority for health systems, we must now in 2022 shift the focus back to the critical long term mission: creating a sustainable future for healthcare.
